"Together we can tell countless unique stories in a bold and original new format."

Firm in their commitment to support virtual reality technology, Ubisoft has partnered with the actor's film production company Elijah Wood to create new interactive entertainment experiences based on such technology.

The agreement between the French company and SpecterVision was made public during the prestigious Sundance Film Festival, where both parties have declared their willingness to "create, develop and produce original and interactive virtual reality content", without specifying exactly what their first major project together will be. However, some indications suggest that he could bet on the horror genre, taking into account that Elijah Wood's producer has worked in films of the style.

"Together, we can tell countless unique stories in a bold and original new format," said SpectreVision CEO Lisa Whalen of this partnership. For his part, Elijah Wood has acknowledged being a dedicated gamer and "admirer of Ubisoft. So collaborating with them within the realm of virtual reality is an incredible deal!"
