Ubisoft announces Just Dance 2021: the new installment will not arrive on Wii, where it has been present since 2009
Instead, the game will reach the new generation of consoles when PS5 and Series X come out.
The Nintendo Direct Mini event that the Japanese company has published by surprise, has left us the announcement of Just Dance 2021, the ubisoft dance saga With which they have been making us move our skeleton for more than a decade.
There is a curious aspect with the announcement of Just Dance 2021. For the first time since 2009, the new installment of the saga will not be released on Wii. The titles of the Just Dance saga have had an idyll accompanied by the success of the Nintendo console. Many users still keep this console and the game has continued to be published for Wii until 2020. A most curious fact, since it was not published for Wii U, its successor, although the game was compatible.
Just Dance 2021 leaves Wii after more than a dozen deliveries in which it has made users of that platform dance. A good part of the 70 million copies sold that carries the franchise is owed to the Nintendo console. Even Just Dance 2020 sold more on its Wii version than it did on PS4 and Xbox One in the UK.
The game will arrive on November 12 at Nintendo Switch, PS4, Xbox One, Google Stadia and it will be compatible with PS5 and Xbox Series X when they hit stores.
The new installment of Just Dance returns with more than 40 new songs like “All the good girls go to hell” by Billie eilish or "Don’t Start Now" by Dua Lipa, a new mode, Quickplay, and an improved World Dance Floor. Additionally, the game will be compatible with the Just Dance Controller app, allowing up to six players to dance without additional accessories.
