THQ Expands Agreement with Dreamworks to Create Movie-Based Games
The sequel to Kung Fu Panda, Puss in Boots and the Penguins of Madagascar will have a video game.
The North American Company THQ has announced an extension of the agreement signed with Dreamworks Pictures to create new video games based on animated films.
With this new agreement, THQ is sure to launch games based on the sequel to Kung Fu Panda, subtitled Kaboom of Doom, also by Puss in Boots and a game based on the television series The Penguins of Madagascar. This last title would arrive throughout the next year and the first two would not arrive until 2011.
Following the announcement, Doug Clemmer, Executive Vice President of Casual, Kids and Family Games at THQ, stated that “the three licenses announced alongside MegaMind underscore our commitment to strengthening our catalog of license-based games for users. more young people and families with the main entertainment brands ”.
