The Last of Us: Part II, on sale in 2019 according to Gustavo Santaolalla
The composer is currently working on the game's soundtrack.
The biggest surprise of the last PlayStation Experience, The Last of Us: Part II, it was announced leaving a huge question mark among fans regarding the release date. However, the Argentine composer Gustavo Santaolalla (repeating with TLOU 2's baton) "he missed" the estimated date that Naughty Dog plans to get the game ready: 2019.
This has been assured to the Argentine radio channel Vorterix, and although he has tried to dissociate himself from the comment shortly after realizing what it implies, the date was already given. This does not mean that the PS4 exclusive will be launched effectively in 2019, since the development can respond to other requirements and advance or delay its launch before giving an official date.
In fact, there have also been rumors about the intention to advance the release of The Last of Us 2 to the end of 2018, if the team is able to pull it off.
