Tetris Effect already has a release date: November 9
Tetsuya Mizuguchi's latest craze: bringing Tetris to virtual reality.
Tetris Effect was announced in the past E3 2018 as one of the main video games of PS VR at the fair. The title, which is sponsored by the very Tetsuya Mizuguchi, creator of Lumines or Get in, has been developed by Enhance Games and will bring the legendary Soviet classic to virtual reality on PS4.
The game, which takes its name from a phenomenon studied at Harvard University that ensures that users who play a lot of Tetris end up seeing pieces of Alexey Pajitnov's game in real life, has confirmed a release date: it will be released on November 9 .
The new revision of the legendary Tetris promises more than 30 phases in which the user, whether playing from virtual reality or not, can put their Tetris skills to the test in an environment in which the pieces are more interactive and sonorous than ever.
One of the main challenges of the new game is to achieve a decahexatris, a combo of four tetris in a row in the same game. One of the best players in Tetris history, Trey Harrison, put the game to the test at last E3, showing his skills in the new production inspired by him.
