Street Fighter V accumulates 2.5 million units sold
Although delayed, the title manages to exceed Capcom's expectations.
According to a new report collected by 4Gamer.net, the producer of Street Fighter V Yoshinori Ono has indicated that his remarkable fighting game accumulates today some 2.5 million units sold between platforms on which it is available. Although the numbers are good by themselves, they have been notably delayed in arriving compared to Capcom's initial expectations, which were betting on two million reached by March 2016.
Since last September, the title has managed to add 600,000 copies, in part thanks to the latest updates that have improved the matchmaking system and the roster of fighters. Street Fighter V is available on PC and PS4 right now. Next January, Season 3 of the game will begin with six new playable characters.
