Sony does not rule out the compatibility of PlayStation VR with PC
The goal of the Japanese is to expand hardware compatibility.
The Executive Vice President of Sony Computer Entertainment, Masayasu Ito, has spoken with the Japanese newspaper Nikkei about the hypothetical compatibility of PlayStation VR with computers. It is something that does not seem ruled out by Sony at the moment, although the businessman confirms that the objective of the brand is currently "focused on games and we are not ready to make any announcement yet on the present field."
Ito assures that PlayStation 4 "shares many internal elements with a computer, so the possibility is there." Sony's goal is to "expand PlayStation VR in different fields", a circumstance that could bring it closer to the competition with Oculus Rift and HTC Vive in the territory of the PC, although at the moment it is not a decision confirmed by the Japanese firm. The device will hit stores for 399.99 euros next October.
