Sony said no to cross-play in Minecraft
It is one of the attractive features offered by the video game to unite PC, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, VR and mobile phones.
Microsoft announced last night that Minecraft will offer an update starting in the fall that, among many other things, will allow fans of PC, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, virtual reality and mobile phones to play with each other.
According to journalist Jez Corden of Windows Central, Sony would have refused this cross-play between different platforms, and this would have meant that PlayStation video consoles are not among those that offer support for this functionality.
He also explains that, instead, the Japanese company is more interested in focusing their efforts on cross-play between their own game consoles and PCs.
