Remedy covers the history of Control in a development journal

His new video game is expected to hit PC, PS4, and Xbox One next year.

Remedy Entertainment has shared through YouTube the first development diary of Control, the new IP formerly known as P7, which was formally unveiled at E3 2018. The video in question delves into the study's approach to the history of the game and its characters, emphasizing its protagonist, Jesse.

Looking at the company's gaming history (Max Payne, Alan Wake) it's clear that Remedy has ambitions for the Control narrative. Thus, its makers shaped a number of themes and genres such as horror and science fiction to create something "new and fresh." Since Jesse is not initially involved in the events, he will serve as a bridge between the player and the unknown.

After a secret agency in New York has been invaded by an otherworldly threat, players assume in Control the role of Jesse Faden, the new Director struggling to regain "control." The title challenges players to master a combination of supernatural abilities, modifiable charges, and reactive environments as they battle through deep and mysterious worlds. It's coming to PC, PS4, and Xbox One - probably - next year.
