Remaster Spyro? Insomniac: "it's up to Activision"

The studio developed the first three installments of the series.

After compilation success Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy, many wonder if there will be new remasters of the great classics of the first PlayStation. A question posed to Insomniac Games, parents of Spyro the Dragon (1998), Spyro 2: In Search of Talismans (1999) and Spyro 3: Year of the Dragon (2000). The answer? They leave it in the hands of Activision, publisher and owner of its rights.

"A remaster of Spyro: Year of the Dragon would be surprising," wrote a user on the social network Twitter to the official profile of the North American study. "That depends on Activision, and just as Naughty Dog did not make the Crash adaptation, we probably would not make Spyro either," they pointed out. So, it remains to wait if the editors of Call of Duty also move tab and bring back this emblematic PSX series.
