PS4 enjoyed great success in the UK on Black Friday

It has been his best week since the launch of the console; PS VR also achieves great results.

Sony has reason to be satisfied. PlayStation 4 has enjoyed its best week of Black Friday in the UK since 2013, which was the year the console debuted in stores. The success of the machine, which has reaped "outstanding" results according to the consultancy Chart-Track, has also been accompanied by the increase in sales of virtual reality glasses PlayStation VR, which have been at the level of the data recorded during its opening week last year, and the equivalent of the PSVR sales of the previous 18 weeks combined.

At the game level, titles such as Call of Duty: WWII or FIFA 18, first and second respectively on the list of the most popular in the United Kingdom, have sold somewhat better on the Sony console than on Xbox One thanks to the presence of various promotional packs for PS4 and these titles. Also the pack with Gran Turismo Sport has made the Polyphony driving video game reach the third position in the list of best sellers.

The success of PS4 has also been reflected in the United States, where PlayStation 4 has sold out on Black Friday.
