PlayStation 4 exceeds 3 million units sold in Japan

The current generation console debuted in its home country in February 2014.

The fourth generation of consoles PlayStation It already has three million units sold in Japan. This has been confirmed by the sales of Media Create last week: the 22,717 units sold in Japan have raised the current generation platform to such a stupendous figure, breaking all the records of previous generations of PlayStation in their country of origin.

PlayStation 4 was released in Japan somewhat later than in the rest of the continents, but it has not prevented it from marking magnificent figures in its country of origin. Domestic competition is led by Wii U, with a few months of advantage over the Sony console, with some 200,000 machines sold above; Xbox One has barely managed to sell 67,000 units since its premiere in September 2014.
