Most Wanted includes "the best" of Burnout Paradise and Hot Pursuit
"It contains everything we know about open world driving."
Need for Speed Most Wanted - A Criterion Game
Matt Webster, one of the top executives of Criterion, has chatted with the North American portal Videogamer about some of the features of the recently announced Need for Speed: Most Wanted - A Criterion Game developed in the studio that created the Burnout saga.
"It contains everything we know about open world driving," he explained. "The best of Burnout and everything we managed to do in Hot Pursuit ... Let's mix it all up."
"Most Wanted is what we thought an open world game should be. Hot Pursuit was about pretty cars and epic racing, and that didn't fit with what we wanted to do in this game. This time we did it, everything. what we have done in the past is here, "he said.
"We have always said that our games are a reflection of us at the time, but of course you are always influenced by what you have done in the past and by the things that have fun for you," he recalled. "You remember the road we went through with Paradise. That game hit the shelves at all being the game we wanted it to be, and with Hot Pursuit we also learned a good handful of things. That's the best thing about it."
