Microsoft to open new studio after Ensemble Studios closes
Graeme Devine, developer of Halo Wars, reveals it.
Microsoft announced last September the closure of the legendary Ensemble Studios, creators of strategy games such as Age of Empires or Age of Mythology, once their latest project, Halo Wars, the RTS based on the Halo universe exclusive to Xbox 360.
Today we learned that after the closure a new studio will succeed Ensemble Studios. Graeme Devine, developer of Ensemble has revealed this.
"There is a new studio in the making that will succeed Ensemble," said Devine. "They haven't announced their plans yet, so I can't comment much. Microsoft is looking for a home for the new ones, but frankly now we're focused on finishing the damn game and making sure it's a good job. I don't think anyone has thought much more. there still. Let's wait to have Halo Wars finished. In this industry, you're only as good as your latest game. "
Halo Wars will be available in February next year for Xbox 360. If you want to know all the details about this fantastic real-time strategy game, you can read our impressions published in the magazine on the occasion of this year's Tokyo Game Show.
