The Rainbow Six Pro League revs up! Starts at the end of the month
The second year of competition will have prizes of up to $ 100,000.
Ubisoft and the world's largest esports company, the ESL, have officially presented Year 2 of the Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Pro League, the great competition that faces the best players in the world in Rainbow Six: Siege for a prize that, in this edition, has been set at $ 100,000.
This second year of competition will take place exclusively with the version for Windows PC, while console users will be able to participate in the Major Leagues. "By focusing completely on the PC, what we want is to bring a higher level of commitment and entertainment to the competition, promoting the positive values that motivate us: the dedication our professionals feel for the game, their discipline, their intense work and the sacrifices they make ", declared the person in charge of the series, Alexandre Remy.
The first year of competition ended with the Six Invitational event in Montreal where the best teams competed against each other, with an audience of 120,000 simultaneous spectators and more than 1,300,000 hours of competition watched during the three days of the event. This year's competition, which kicks off in North America, Europe and Brazil on March 20, 23 and 25 respectively, will include three Pro League seasons and a grand finale that will crown the Rainbow Six World Champion.
At the end of each season, the top-ranked teams in Europe, North America and Brazil will compete head-to-head in a live event with $ 100,000 in prize money that will serve as a preamble to the PC Season Finals. The Season One Final will take place in Katowice, Poland, on May 20-21.
