Horizon Zero Dawn will also have a board game

Aloy and the Wild Machines will enjoy their own game created by Steamforged Games.

During the GenCon 2018 which is taking place this first week of August, the board game developer Steamforged Games has announced the acquisition of the license Horizon: Zero Dawn to create a new board game based on the title of Guerrilla Games.

Steamforged Games is known by video game fans as they are responsible for the adaptations of Dark Souls and Resident Evil 2. It is currently working on a Kickstarter campaign to finance this new project based on the PS4 game. As Tom Marks tells on IGN, Steamforged has stated that Guerrilla considers that the new board game will be canon within the franchise and will consider it as "the next game Horizon Zero Dawn".

In the presentation details were given about the playability of this project, such as that the games will last between an hour and a half and two hours, in which a minimum of 5 hunts will be developed with an increasing level of difficulty. IGN offers some images of the detailed miniatures of the game, highlighting the Thunderer, which could measure up to 30 centimeters. While no start date has been announced for Kickstarter, the campaign is expected to launch later this year.
