The actor behind Geralt de Rivia oversees his adaptation to SoulCalibur 6

Those responsible wanted him to be a familiar character for The Witcher 3 players.

CD Projekt has shared on Twitter a development journal talking about Geralt of Rivia's adaptation as a guest character in Soul Calibur VI, Bandai Namco's fighting game that already features a long list of characters borrowed from other franchises.

One of the most curious characteristics that have been presented is, without a doubt, having used the same actor who played Geralt in The witcher iii for monitor motion capture of the witcher in SoulCalibur VI. "Our role is to make sure that Geralt moves, sits and plays in SoulCalibur VI as he does in The Witcher III," says chief animation officer Sebastian Kalemba. However, given the nature of a fighting game, the creative recognizes that it was necessary to "go back to the sketches" to reinvent certain movements.

SoulCalibur VI will arrive on PC, PS4 and Xbox One at some point in 2018, with Geralt de Rivia and Mitsurugi occupying the cover of the video game.
