EA believes Fortnite will have long-term impact on video games
"It's these things that make the industry fun and exciting."
In Electronic arts all the information advanced by its chief executive, Andrew Wilson, are still kicking in, such as the fact that they are excited about Anthem, or that Anthem itself will arrive in March 2019. However, they have also talked about the phenomenon of the moment, the games battle royale.
"We welcome innovation in the industry," said Chief Financial Officer Blake Jorgensen. "It's these things that make the industry fun and exciting. If you look back over the last 20 or 30 years, the innovation that one game achieves over the whole world is fantastic. We welcome innovators like Fortnite or PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds. We feel like it's great for video games as a whole. "
They also had some extraordinary words for the shooter of Epic games. "In particular, Fortnite is bringing younger people to the market, and younger people to shooters. And I think that's a good thing for the long term and for the health of all of us in the industry."
Of course, EA is not alien to the phenomenon of this video game profile, and it is that some information has speculated with the possibility that there is a battle royale modality in Battlefield 5.
