Dead Island Definitive Collection is now official. It will be released on PC, Xbox One and PS4 at the end of May
Dead Island and Riptide remasters, plus a new retro-style game.
Deep Silver has just confirmed what has been practically taken for granted for months. The hit Dead Island and its sequel, Dead Island: Riptide, will come back to life with remasters that will be released on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One framed in the Dead Island Definitive Collection.
The publisher speaks of "vastly improved and completely remastered versions" that will also incorporate all the additional content published to date. They ensure that the improvements applied to Techland's graphics engine allow us to see a significant change "in the graphics and performance, adding avant-garde graphic effects typical of the current generation.
Added to this special edition is the curious Dead Island Retro Revenge, which has been described as a classic side-scrolling action-racing game. It will include leaderboards and achievements, as well as power-ups, super attacks and a complete combo system aimed at taking advantage of the melee combat it poses.
Dead Island Definitive Collection It will premiere on May 31.
