Beyond Good & Evil 2 would launch a beta at the end of 2019

Michel Ancel himself, director of the game, has confirmed it on Instagram.

Michel Ancel, director of Beyond Good & Evil 2, has confirmed in a post on his private Instagram account that his promising open world game - or "open universe", rather - will have some kind of beta phase playable late next year. However, the creative notes that it is only the intention of the study, so that some possible complication in the development could postpone its objectives even more.

If expectations are met, it would be expected that BGE 2 will be available a few months after the beta, in 2020. Of course, this is mere speculation: at E3 2018, Ubisoft showed a cinematic of the game without any clue about its release date, and we may have to wait another year for the next opportunity.

After Jade's appearance in the latest trailer for Beyond Good and Evil 2, Michel Ancel continues to upload pieces of concept art to his Instagram profile as the only novelty; although those who want to keep track of the game can also opt for the Space Monkey Program. Hopefully, at the very least, it will debut in the current console cycle.
