Assassin's Creed: Origins - Loot Boxes are only purchased with play money

Ubisoft rules out the use of real money to get these rewards.

The presence of Loot Boxes in Assassin's Creed: Origins sparked controversy days ago over the possibility that Ubisoft required the payment of real money to obtain the best rewards within the video game, however, the French company confirms that these special items can only be acquired through the use of the game currency itself.

By purchasing these loot boxes, fans will receive random rewards, with new weapons and defensive gear to survive the many challenges posed by this new action adventure set in Ancient Egypt.

"You can only get these boxes using play money," insists one of Ubisoft's creatives in a live broadcast, where the operation of this new loot box system was shown.
