The Tomb Raider writer would like to relive the classic No One Lives Forever
It is an action game starring a spy that was created by the authors of Shadows of Mordor.
After writing the script for Rise of the Tomb Raider the writer Rhianna Pratchett has stayed away from the big blockbusters in the video game industry, focusing its attention on the narrative adventure Lost Words: Beyond the Page but ... would you be interested in working in another great franchise? Would you like to get involved again in another great production? The writer acknowledges that she would love to rescue the classic No One Lives Forever from oblivion.
"I would have told you the games of the Thief saga until I worked on one of them, and it didn't work as well as I would have liked, "acknowledges Pratchett when talking about the restart of this veteran franchise in which he worked in 2014. But now the writer would be more interested in the spy Cate Archer, protagonist of two action adventures developed by the team of Monolith Productions in the early years of the 21st century.
"Cate Archer in The Operative and in its sequel, from 2002, with all the spy gadgets and things like that. I think female spies are really interesting. I think I would like to rewrite the Cate Archer story," concludes Pratchett . Unfortunately this seems like an impossible mission even for the protagonist of No One Lives Forever.
There is a legal dispute over the license by Warner Bros., Activision and 20th Century Fox, to the point that it is not even possible to get hold of these action video games today. Since there are so many parties involved in this problem, it seems difficult that the matter can be resolved in the best way possible for Cate Archer fans.
