Dark Void was delayed to avoid competing with Halo 3: ODST
It will finally go on sale on January 22.
Capcom has admitted this morning in an interview with the G4tv portal that it delayed the launch of Dark Void, initially scheduled for September 2009, until the current date of January 22, 2010 to avoid having to compete in sales with Halo 3: ODST.
"They said they were going to release Halo 3: ODST at the end of September, and we thought it was the perfect opportunity to delay Dark Void," said Christian Svensson, Capcom executive.
“We take advantage of those extra months. We integrate PhysX in the PC version and other things that were not going to come from the beginning at the launch of the game and that are now available ”.
"We have taken advantage of that time."
